SUNCREST PARK ASSOCIATION

 

 

Suncrest Park is composed of 24 acres of prime waterfront, 42 acres of greenbelts and 29 acres of recreation trails.  Your membership is a privilege, not a right, and is subject to payment of annual dues and observation of the Association Rules, Regulations and by-laws.

 

MEMBERSHIP

 

Membership is on an annual basis.  Existing Class A members have first priority to memberships beginning March 1. New Class A memberships may be applied for April 1.  Associate memberships maybe applied for May 1. Homeowners and renters of qualified developments as designated in the Association by-laws and the official geographic boundary map are eligible to be Park Members.  Dues are not pro rated for portions of a membership year.

 

REPRESENTATION

 

Members elect, at the annual meeting, persons to fill Board vacancies as provided by the By-laws.  The Board Members will elect officers of the Park Association.

 

PARK FACILITIES

 

The Park Caretaker, in conjunction with the Board, has full authority within Park boundaries to enforce the Park rules.  The rules are as follows:

 

GENERAL

 

1.        VEHICLES WITHOUT A CURRENT, PROPERLY AFFIXED [OUTSIDE LOWER LEFT HAND

CORNER OF THE WINDSHIELD], MEMBERSHIP DECAL ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE PARK UNLESS PRE-APPROVED BY THE PARK BOARD.

2.        PLEASE LOCK THE PARK GATE AFTER ENTERING OR LEAVING THE PARK.

3.        Members and guests must behave in such a manner as to be acceptable to fellow members.

4.        Members are responsible for helping administer the Park Regulations.  Report misuse to the Park Manager. Please refrain from confronting violators in a threatening manner.

5.        NO PETS ARE ALLOWED IN THE PARK, except loading/unloading at boat ramp.

6.        Law prohibits minors from being served or drinking alcoholic beverages in the Park.

7.        No one under the age of 18 is allowed in the Park after 10 PM without PARENTAL supervision.

8.        Children, under the age of 12, are not allowed in the Park any time without adult supervision.

9.        No guns or firearms may be discharged on or over the Park grounds. NO FIREWORKS.

 

PARKING

 

1.        VEHICLES PARKED IN THE PARK WITHOUT A PROPER DECAL WILL BE TOWED AT

OWNERS EXPENSE.

2.        Parking is allowed only in designated parking areas.

3.        Trailers are to be parked ONLY in the parking lot by the entrance.

4.        One way signs and 5 mph speed limit will be conformed to while driving inside the Park.

5.        Only properly licensed vehicles may operate within the Park on designated roads only.

 

BOAT LAUNCH AND DOCKS

 

1.        Members, dependents, and guests utilize the boat ramp and docks at their own risks.

2.        Use COURTEOUS boating and loading/unloading procedures.  WAIT YOUR TURN.

3.        No swimming, diving or water skiing from the docks or launch areas.

4.        Boats are docked at the owner’s risk.  Please secure them properly.

5.        No carpet is allowed on top of the docking decking.       

 

SWIMMING BEACH

 

1.        All members, dependents and guests swim at their own risk.  No lifeguards provided.

2.        All swimming is to be confined to the swimming area.

3.        NO BOATS are allowed in the swimming area, on the beach, or within 150 feet thereof.

4.        DO NOT hang from or attach any floatation device to the swim line at any time.

5.        Remember to use COURTEOUS behavior while swimming and using the swim dock.
 

PICNIC AREA

 

1.        All fires will be confined to the barbecue pits and extinguished when the member departs.

2.        All litter and garbage will be placed in the cans provided or removed from the Park.

3.        Picnic tables will be cleaned and washed, if necessary, after use.

4.        Picnic facilities are on a first come basis.  Please RECYCLE your aluminum.

5.        No overnight camping unless pre-approved by park board.

 

RECREATION TRAILS AND GREENBELTS

 

1.        These areas are provided for pedestrians, horses, and other NON MOTORIZED VEHICLES.

2.        There is no supervision provided, and users of these areas utilize them at their own risk.

3.        No horses are allowed in the picnic area. Horses will be hitched to the hitching post in the Park.

4.        No guns or firearms may be discharged on or over the greenbelts or recreation trails.

5.        No obstructions or boundary infringements on bridle trails or greenbelts.

 

GUESTS

 

1.        Anyone eligible to be a member of the Park is INELIGIBLE to be a guest.

2.        A member AT ALL TIMES must accompany Guest.

3.        Members are responsible for clean up of the facility after use by their guests.

4.        Members anticipating more than 10 guests must complete an “Application for Park Use” form.

5.        At least two weeks notice is requested.  Written approval must be obtained from a Board Member and the caretaker must be notified.  No parties or picnics will be approved on major holidays. Business/corporate parties Monday-Thursday only.  A non refundable
fee of $250 for any business or corporate party
. No more
than 3 separate parties at one time. No more than 75 guests. Special consideration is given to churches.

6.        Duplication of the keys is prohibited and keys are non-transferable.

7.        Two keys and two decals are provided with each membership.

8.        TWO decals are issued with a membership, ONLY ONE additional decal maybe purchased.

9.        A petition for replacement of lost keys and or decals much be submitted to the Board.

 

MISUSE OF THE PARK

 

1.        Any misuse of the Park may result in revocation or suspension of membership without refund and/or the Park member may be held financially responsible.

2.        Falsifying any portion of the membership application is cause for membership revocation.

3.        Misuse is considered:

    a.    Any failure to observe the rules, regulations and the by-laws of the Park.

    b.    Any act of destruction, vandalism or mischief to Association property, shrubs or trees, signs and Park improvements, by the member, their family or guests.

    c.    Any use of MOTORIZED VEHICLES on the recreation trails or greenbelts.

Schools, member families and local organizations. Vehicles without a current, properly affixed, membership sticker are not allowed in the Park unless pre-approved by the Park Board.  Non-stickered vehicles must park outside the Park gate.

 

PARK KEYS AND STICKERS

 

Memberships are non-transferable and can not be collectively used by others.
